Testament of Youth: An Autobiographical Study Of The Years 1900-1925
It is autobiography of Vera Brittain that seems to be her love story during the years 1900-1925. During the time of first world war she was 21 years old and she decided to get enroll in Oxford but her father forbade her for the same due to pathetic conditions during the war.
However eventually her father took U turn and let her go for Oxford. It was perishable time of her life as by the end of very first year she falls in love with very young handsome solider named Rolland. During the war he put equal efforts as a nurse in serving the dying people. Rolland got killed during the war when he was expecting to go home for the Christmas.
After death of him 10 years later she was sent to Malta and even further France to serve in the hospitals that are near to front where she get encounter with the perils of war. But before the peace she lost many of her companions that are her brother and two friends during the war. When it ends with the peace she was left alone in the streets of London.
.so it was dreadful moment of her life that made her alone even after the war it was new beginning but she lost everything before the new start which turn her life and navigates her to write Memoir.
