Persepolis, won many rewards, text award, at, Angouleme International Comics Festival Prize for Scenario Angouleme, France, being one of them, another important accolade being that of criticism of authoritarianism in Spain. Its movie version also received no less recognition; it was honored highly, especially in 2007, also named Official French Selection for Best Foreign Language Film.
