Bone, Vol, 1: Out from Boneville (Bone (Delcourt noir et blanc) #1) by Jeff Smith, Steve Hamaker
Heard Bournville? Yes, but have you heard of Boneville? Definitely, not, I presume. Well, it’s the native place of our three heroes –Fone, Phoney, and Smiley. They are the Bone cousins and live in boneville, and are separated shortly afterward. Each one of them has an adventurous account. One after the other, they find themselves in a dense forest which is replete with deep green trees, and insects of all kinds. The ferocious animals are on the prowl forever to find their prey. Naturally, they are scared no end with no human population in sight and the hazardous animals always on a lookout for some flesh! Their fears multiply as they delve deep into the forest. Soon, they find a farmhouse and take shelter. One after the other all the three of them seek shelter there after their harrowing plight at the jungle hence, they are reconciled. The farm is owned by an old lady called Gran’ma Ben. Her workload is shared by her jovial granddaughter who keeps everyone in good humor with her jokes. But the ordeal of the Bone cousins doesn’t end there. There is more to it than what meets the eye. It’s only the beginning of their tryst with adventure as the devilish powers unite to put them through trying times.
