The Beauty That Remains by Ashley Woodfolk
The book has been set in a realistically distinct Long Island, called Woodfolk which considers the destruction of all those who have been left behind after three teenagers died and their unsettled efforts to move ahead. Each of books narrators is fighting in sorrow. The book begins with autumn’s best buddy, Tavia, who has been killed in a car crash, Shay’s twin sister, Sasha is diagnosed with cancer since she was a little girl of 11 years, Logan’s former boyfriend, and Bram has committed suicide. The three are linked by connections, some closer than others, to Unraveling Lonely, a local indie band that might have gone places, only if Logan wouldn’t have messed things up. Though there are many characters to keep a track of, it is not clear who knows whom and how well they know each other. The novel portrays the lives of 16 years old, the digital lives they are fascinated with, about the relationships, how relationships drift when their near and dear ones are no more with them( which means have left for heavenly abode), but the lives of the ones left behind, still keep living their lives.
